The “Ferial Plaza” Shopping Center is located on the outskirts of the city of Guadalajara, next to the A2 highway that goes from Madrid to Barcelona.

The 100,000 m2 building has 7 floors, 3 of which are below ground level. The underground floors are 140 m x 100 m and house the car parks and unloading docks, while the ground and upper floors house the commercial and entertainment venues.

The retaining walls were resolved by means of continuous screen walls, with temporary anchors up to 22 m in length.

The floors are solid, 0.30 m deep, without joints.

As a singularity, it is highlighted that, due to the topographic irregularity and complexity of the floor plan, the unbalanced thrusts have had to be carefully studied, resorting to substructures specifically arranged for this purpose.
