The Las Americas Bridge was designed by the Valencian engineer Julio Martínez Calzón. This suspension bridge is 488 m long, with an aerial span of 140 m, and is supported by 30 steel braces.
Given its geometric peculiarities, such as the characteristics of the only support pile and the layout of the cables, the work presented very particular construction difficulties, for which CYD Ingenieros carried out, at the request of the DNV, the technical management during the construction.
