Location: Maldonado, Uruguay
Owner: National Hydrography Administration (DNH)
Builder: SACEEM
Year: 2014 – 2017

The port of Piriápolis is located on the waters of the Río de la Plata, offering nautical facilities for docking sports boats.

The project included the reinforcement and expansion of the lower pier, which connects with three new sports marinas, the widening of the existing breakwater and the new multipurpose pier, as well as the extension of the fishing pier and a new ramp for boats.

The low dock on the water side, the sports marinas and the multipurpose dock are partially precast superstructure, on metal-jacketed piles executed with machinery on pontoons.

The low pier on the side of the existing breakwater was made with hanger tensioners on the side of the breakwater.

The fishing pier has a concrete structure in place on the existing breakwater.

The boat ramp is a submerged structure supported on the seabed, built with precast elements, and filled on site.
