RÍO ROSARIO BRIDGE

Located on Route 1, on the west bound lane, this bridge is a straight, 300 m length structure, near the Rosario River outlet, in Colonia.

The superstructure is made up of a bipoutre solution; that is, two longitudinal beams placed 6 m apart, which were precast and post-tensioned. The rest of the deck is made up of precast tiles supported on the longitudinal beams and filled on site.

The span among expansion joints is 60 m. Between the different sections, except where there are joints, there are continuity slabs.
The infrastructure is made up of 19 piers, with 1 m diameter columns and pile caps with two piles and cross braces.
